The concert is organized within the scope of the prize of the Chairman of the Board of the City of Toru? - Marcin Czy?niewski.

Alexandra Li, one of the prizewinners of the International Violin Competition – Toru? 2016 (3rd prize), will visit our town to play a recital presenting selected musical pieces by Mozart, Prokofiev, Schubert and Wieniawski.

The Russian violinist Alexandra Li studied in the prestigious Pyotr Tschaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, currently at the Royal College of Music in London.

The programme prepared for the concert in Toru? includes several pieces of chamber music for violin and piano: the Violin Sonata in B-flat major (KV 454) by Mozart, Schubert’s Rondo Brillant in B minor, Five Melodies for Violin and Piano (op. 35 bis) by Prokofiev and the virtuoso Fantaisie Brillante (op. 20) by Wieniawski on themes from Gounod’s Faust.

The accompanying piano parts will be played by the world famous Polish pianist Katarzyna Wieczorek, whose magical sense of music and remarkable versatile talent are widely appreciated.
